Community Organization

Three separate entities within Santaluz work together to ensure a high quality of life for residents and uphold the values and visions of the community.

The Santaluz Community Council is the community-based organization that funds and organizes the Village Green events and produces the full-color, bi-monthly community newsletter Santaluz Life. Additionally, it communicates with residents through a residents-only Web site. The SCC fosters neighbor-to-neighbor interaction through signature events like the Spring Fling, Summer Celebration & Fireworks Spectacular, and Concert on the Green, Movie on the Green, Fall Harvest Festival and Children’s Winter Holiday Celebration.

The Santaluz Maintenance Association is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of common areas--parks, tot lots, streets, the trail system, lighting, brush management zones, mailboxes, gatehouses, and the extensive irrigated landscaping of Santaluz. Additionally, the SMA acts as the regulatory arm of the governing bodies of this community; therefore, they enforce the covenants, conditions and restrictions and other supporting documents created to insure property owners maintain their own properties according to established standards and follow community rules and guidelines. The SMA and SCC staffs are housed at the Hacienda facility leased from the Club.

In July 2012, the SMA created an Emergency Preparedness Manual that is given to each household to follow in the event of a disaster or other emergency. With feedback from families and the collaboration of community leaders, the manual outlines safety tips, important phone numbers and evacuation routes.

The Santaluz Club is a private equity club which owns and operates the Hacienda facility, golf course, and the Clubhouse and Spa facility. The Club offers an array of first-class golfing events and has an extensive children’s program. One of the many highlights is the top-rated Summer Camp and monthly movie nights for a wide range of ages. And the neverending social events to choose from such as; cooking classes, wine dinners, literary luncheons, new member mixers, a grand New Years Eve party and so much.

All three organizations support the Santaluz Vision: to create and preserve a manner of living that nurtures and respects both the land and its people.
